파주시는 대한전문건설협회 경기도회 파주시운영위원회(이하 ‘파주시 전문건설협회’)와 지역 건설산업의 경쟁력 강화와 상생 발전을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 경기 침체로 어려움을 겪는 지역 전문건설업계를 지원하고, 파주시가 역점적으로 추진 중인 각종 대규모 개발사업에 지역 기업의 참여를 확대하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약의 주요 내용은 ▲산업안전 문화 확산 ▲체불임금 방지를 위한 지원 ▲지역 건설노동자 우선 고용 및 지역 건설기계의 우선 사용 ▲지역 건설산업체의 공동수급체 참여 적극 권장 등이다.

김경일 파주시장은 “이번 상생 협약은 지역 건설산업의 실질적 지원과 100만 자족도시 파주 건설의 중요한 기반이 될 것”이라며, “앞으로도 지역 전문건설업계와 긴밀히 소통하며 지역 경제 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
