파주소방서가 7일 오전 10시 청사 3층 대회의실에서 '제63주년 소방의 날' 기념식을 개최하고 소방조직의 화합과 발전을 다짐했다.

이날 기념식에는 소방공무원과 의용소방대원을 비롯해 정책자문위원, 동우회, 초청 내빈 등 110여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

본행사에 앞서 열린 기념식에서는 소방인의 숭고한 헌신과 희생정신을 기리는 시간을 가졌으며, 축하공연을 통해 참석자들에게 위로와 자긍심을 전했다.

본행사는 소방의 날 기념 영상 상영을 시작으로 유공자 표창 전수 및 수여식, 서장 기념사, 축하 케이크 커팅, 기념촬영, 오찬 순으로 진행됐다.

이번 행사는 순직·공상을 당한 동료들의 희생을 되새기고, 구성원 간 유대감과 소통을 강화해 조직의 신뢰를 높이며 안전문화 정착의 기반을 다지는 데 의미를 두고 있다.

김명찬 파주소방서장은 기념사를 통해 "소방의 날은 국민 안전을 위해 헌신해 온 모든 소방인을 기억하고 격려하는 날"이라며 "이를 계기로 구성원 모두가 하나 되어 더 안전한 사회를 만드는 데 힘을 모으겠다"고 밝혔다.
