파주소방서는 27일 부산에서 열린 대한뇌졸중학회 주관 ‘Korean Stroke Angels’ 시상식에서 조영준 소방교가 수상했다고 밝혔다.

 이 상은 뇌졸중 환자 발생 시 현장에서의 신속한 판단과 응급처치, 병원 이송 전 과정에서 탁월한 대응 능력을 보인 구급대원에게 수여되는 상으로, 전국에서 단 20명에게만 주어지는 영예로운 상이다.

조영준 소방교는 지난 2년간 급성 뇌졸중 환자 이송 과정에서 ‘브레인세이버(Brain Saver)’ 인증을 다수 획득하며 환자 후유증 최소화에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 경기북부에서는 유일하게 수상자로 선정됐다.

그는 “환자의 생명을 지켜내는 순간이 가장 큰 보람”이라며 “현장에서는 매 순간이 골든타임인 만큼 긴장의 끈을 놓지 않고 맡은 바 역할을 다하겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
