고양특례시가 오는 26일부터 31일까지 킨텍스 제2전시장에서 '2025 고양 아시아·대양주 도로대회'를 개최한다.

이번 대회는 2015년 서울 세계도로대회 이후 10년 만에 국내에서 열리는 국제 도로행사로, 70여 개국에서 5천 명 이상의 관계자가 참가할 예정이다. 

고양시와 한국도로공사가 공동 주최하고 한국도로협회가 주관하며 국토교통부가 후원한다.

이동환 고양특례시장은 "전 세계 도로기술인들이 한자리에 모여 창조적인 기술과 혁신적인 정책을 나누는 뜻깊은 자리"라며 "글로벌 마이스 도시인 고양시에서 열리는 이번 대회가 미래 도로의 패러다임을 찾고, 국가 간 협력과 동반 성장을 일궈내는 새로운 시작이 되길 기대한다"고 밝혔다.

'초연결 미래 도로' 주제로 다양한 프로그램 진행

대회는 '초연결 미래 도로(Future Road ; Hyper-connection)'를 중심 주제로 도로 기술 현안과 미래 도로가 직면할 다양한 과제를 다룬다.

첫날인 26일에는 참가자 등록과 함께 세계도로협회(PIARC) 국가위원회 회의가 열리며, 각국 대표들이 미래 도로산업의 주요 의제와 협력 방향을 논의한다. 

27일부터 28일까지는 PIARC 이사회와 기술분과위원회 등 연례 회의가 이어지며, 국제 도로기술 협력체계 강화 방안을 심도 있게 다룬다.

28일에는 국제도로연맹(IRF) 주관으로 '지속 가능하고 회복 탄력적인 포장 솔루션' 워크숍이 진행되며, 29일에는 PIARC 기술위원회 주관 국제 워크숍에서 '지속가능한 도로 : 모두를 위한 더 나은 도로'를 주제로 전문가 논의가 펼쳐진다.

같은 날 젊은 도로기술인들의 학습과 성장을 지원하는 영엔지니어&전문가회의도 열려 프로젝트와 연구 활동을 공유하고, 비즈니스 포럼에서는 '도로건설 및 유지관리 분야에서의 AI 활용 사례 소개와 발전방향'을 다뤄 공공·민간에 벤치마킹 기회를 제공한다.

200여 편 논문 발표… 한국 도로기술 우수성 알린다

28일부터 30일까지 3일간 진행되는 기술세션에서는 교통 시스템, 인프라·건설, 정책·안전, 환경·지속가능성, 프로젝트 관리·재원 조달 등 13개 분야에서 200여 편의 논문이 발표된다.

주요·특별세션에서는 지능형교통체계(ITS), 스마트하이웨이, 모빌리티 서비스 등 연구 성과를 나누고 한국 도로기술의 우수성을 홍보한다. 

B2B 세션도 함께 열려 기업 간 비즈니스 촉진을 위한 제품, 시스템, 기술 등을 선보인다.

아시아·대양주 19개국 도로기관장 회의… 기후변화 대응 논의

28일에는 일본, 중국, 뉴질랜드, 호주 등 아시아·대양주 19개국의 도로 교통 부처 장·차관과 도로 분야 국제기구 임원 등이 참석하는 도로기관장 회의(HORA)가 진행된다. 

'기후변화 대응을 위한 지속가능한(친환경) 도로 인프라 관리'를 주제로 각국의 현황 발표와 토론이 개최되며, 미래 도로 시대를 대비하는 기반을 마련할 계획이다.

아울러 아시아·대양주 국가의 도로 정책에 관한 국제 협력을 강화하고 첨단 도로기술을 공유하기 위한 아시아·대양주 도로기술협회(REAAA) 총회·이사회도 30일부터 31일까지 열린다. 제17회 REAAA 총회 및 제124차, 제125차 이사회가 예정돼 있다.

주요 행사로는 개막식과 환영리셉션(28일), 갈라디너(30일), 폐막식(31일)이 계획돼 있다.

대회 기간 중에는 도로·교통 분야 전문 박람회인 '2025 국제도로교통박람회(ROTREX)'가 함께 개최된다. 

킨텍스와 한국도로협회가 공동 주최하는 이번 박람회는 28일부터 30일까지 3일간 킨텍스 제2전시장(7홀)에서 열린다.

2005년부터 꾸준히 개최돼 온 국내 유일 도로·교통 분야 전문 교류의 장인 이번 박람회는 '2025 고양 아시아·대양주 도로대회'와 동시 개최로 참가 기업의 제품 기술 교류, 해외 수출 판로 개척 등 더욱 활발한 네트워크가 이뤄질 것으로 기대된다.
