고향을 향한 진심 어린 마음이 훈훈한 감동을 전했다.

 출범 10주년을 맞은 고양·파주 강원연합회(회장 김주섭)가 지난 10월 18일, 고향 강원도 횡성군 서원면 압곡리 백로마을을 찾아 사랑과 나눔이 가득한 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

이번 행사는 단순한 고향 방문을 넘어, 지역 어르신들을 위한 경로잔치와 생필품 기증 등 실질적인 나눔으로 더욱 뜻깊었다. 

연합회는 마을에서 꼭 필요로 하던 대형 야외용 가스레인지, 경로당 장의자, 국수 75kg을 기증하며 어르신들의 일상에 실질적인 도움을 전했다.

또한 마을 주민과 어르신 100여 명을 초청해 새마을부녀회와 함께 정성껏 준비한 점심 식사를 대접하고, 흥겨운 분위기 속에서 따뜻한 정을 나누는 자리를 마련했다. 

평소 조용했던 시골 마을은 이날 하루, 웃음과 감사의 인사로 가득 찼다.

이날 봉사활동에 참여한 김주섭 회장은 “고향은 언제나 어머니의 품처럼 따뜻하다”며 “앞으로도 변함없는 마음으로 고향을 찾고, 지속적인 나눔을 실천해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

그는 또 “매년 한마음으로 함께해주는 회원들에게 진심으로 감사하다”며 동행한 회원들에게도 고마운 마음을 전했다.

고양·파주 강원연합회는 중소기업인, 세무·회계사, 금융업 종사자, 공무원 등 전문직 강원 출신 30여 명으로 구성된 향우 단체다.

그동안 강릉, 영월, 춘천, 고성 등 다양한 지역을 직접 찾아가 봉사와 나눔을 실천해왔으며, 고향의 발전과 지역사회와의 상생을 위해 꾸준히 활동해오고 있다.

이번 행사는 봉사뿐 아니라 횡성 루지체험, 호수 둘레길 걷기, 소금산 그랜드밸리 관람 등 지역 관광활성화에도 일조하며, 회원 간 우애를 다지는 계기도 되었다.

The Goyang-Paju Gangwon Association (Chairman Kim Joo-seop), celebrating its 10th anniversary, visited Baekro Village in Apgok-ri, Seowon-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do, on October 18th to engage in volunteer activities filled with love and sharing.

This event was even more meaningful than a simple hometown visit, as it included a senior citizen's party and donations of daily necessities for the local seniors.

The association donated a large outdoor gas range, chairs for the senior center, and 75kg of noodles, all of which were desperately needed, providing practical assistance to the seniors in their daily lives.

They also invited around 100 village residents and senior citizens, sharing a heartfelt lunch prepared in collaboration with the Saemaul Women's Association. They created a lively atmosphere and a warm atmosphere for fellowship.
