파주소방서가  지난 14일 대형 화재 예방을 위해 '화재안전 중점관리대상'으로 지정된 ASE코리아를 방문해 관서장 현장 지도점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

'화재안전 중점관리대상'은 화재 발생 시 대형 인명피해나 재산피해가 우려되는 시설로, 「화재의 예방 및 안전관리에 관한 법률」 제25조에 따라 적극적인 화재예방 및 대응이 필요한 곳으로 지정된 대상이다.

이번 점검은 대형 제조시설 내 고위험 요소를 사전에 제거하고, 최근 유해화학물질 누출 및 작업 중 사고 사례를 공유해 관계자들의 경각심을 높이기 위해 추진됐다.

주요 점검 내용은 중점관리대상 지정 의의 안내를 시작으로, 2025년 유해화학물질 누출 등 유사사고 사례 전파, 집진설비와 ESS(에너지저장장치) 위험성 설명 및 현장 확인이 이뤄졌다.

또한 소방·전기·가스 등 안전시설 점검과 화재취약지역 점검 및 초기 대응 지도, 피난방법 안내 등 총 6개 분야에 걸쳐 종합적인 안전점검이 진행됐다.

김명찬 파주소방서장은 "산업시설 내 복합 위험요소에 대한 선제적 대응이 안전 확보의 핵심"이라며 "ASE코리아와 같은 주요 관리대상과의 긴밀한 협조를 통해 화재 예방과 자율안전관리 체계를 강화해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
