법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회가 추석 명절을 앞두고 지역 사회복지시설을 찾아 따뜻한 나눔을 실천했다.

경기북부지부협의회는 29일 파주시 소재 사회복지시설 '소망의집'을 방문해 양곡과 라면 등 위문품을 전달했다.

이날 위문 행사에는 김명달 회장을 비롯해 기천서 사무처장, 한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부 양희철 지부장, 이운안 법무보호위원 등이 참석했다.

김명달 회장은 "명절을 맞아 취약계층 분들이 약소하게나마 위문품을 통해서 따뜻한 마음을 전달받고 자립에 더욱더 힘쓰며 풍성한 추석 명절을 보내는데 보탬이 되었으면 좋겠다"고 전했다.

법무보호위원은 범죄를 저지르고 교정시설에서 석방된 사람들의 사회복귀와 자립을 돕는 자원봉사자로, 전국 각지에서 출소자 보호와 지역사회 안전망 구축을 위해 활동하고 있다.

경기북부지부협의회는 평소에도 관내 취약계층을 대상으로 다양한 지원 활동을 펼치고 있으며, 이번 추석 위문 행사도 그 일환으로 진행됐다.
