파주시산림조합은 지난 12일부터 13일까지 임산물유통센터에서 ‘산림조합원을 위한 예초기 안전점검의 날’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 추석을 앞두고 벌초 작업이 집중되는 시기에 발생할 수 있는 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

올해 처음으로 봄(5월)과 가을(9월), 연 2회 진행된 이번 점검에서는 약 110여 대의 산림장비를 대상으로 엔진과 작동 상태, 안전덮개 부착 여부 등을 꼼꼼히 확인했으며 또한 부품 교체나 간단한 수리가 필요한 장비는 현장에서 즉시 조치해 조합원들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

행사에는 산림경영전담지도원도 함께 참여해 벌초 작업 시 주의사항과 안전수칙을 안내하며 조합원들의 안전 의식을 높였다.

전진옥 조합장은 “조합원들의 안전보다 중요한 것은 없다”며 “풍요로운 가을을 맞아 모두가 단 한 건의 사고 없이 건강하게 추석을 보내길 바라는 마음으로 행사를 준비했다”고 말했다. 

이어 “앞으로도 조합원 실생활에 도움이 되는 실질적인 지원 사업을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 강조했다.
