경기북부보훈지청이 광복 80주년을 맞아 독립유공자들에 대한 숭고한 정신을 기리기 위해 포천 지역 독립유공자 묘소를 찾아 참배했다.

지청은 지난 12일 국가보훈부 주관 '광복 80, 독립유공자 묘소 참배 캠페인'의 일환으로 포천시에 위치한 故송능식 지사와 故이동화 지사의 묘소를 방문해 소형 태극기와 국화를 헌화하며 참배했다고 밝혔다.

故송능식 지사(1996 대통령표창)는 1919년 4월 2일 충북 괴산군 소수면 길선리에서 유해륜, 경권중과 함께 독립 만세 시위에 적극 참여했다. 

당시 송 지사는 태극기를 흔들며 군중의 선두에 서서 독립 만세를 고창하다 일본 경찰에 체포되어 징역 6개월을 선고받았다. 

그의 묘소는 현재 포천시 광릉추모공원에 위치해 있다.

故이동화 지사(2018 건국포장)는 지식인으로서 독립운동에 헌신한 인물이다. 

1935년 일본 동경제국대학 재학 중 신사상을 연구했으며, 1938년 서울 혜화전문학교 교수로 임용된 후 조재옥의 권유로 독서회에서 신사회 건설에 관한 이론을 지도했다.

이 독서회는 비밀결사 '경성콤그룹' 산하 학생부의 하부조직이었으며, 이 지사는 경성콤그룹 가두부에서 지도적 역할을 담당했다. 

1941년 일본 경찰의 대대적인 탄압으로 체포되어 옥고를 치렀으나, 1944년 무죄 판결을 받고 석방되었다. 

그의 묘소는 혜화동성당 포천 묘원에 안장되어 있다.

경기북부보훈지청은 지난 2월부터 광복 80주년을 기념해 경기북부 관내 11개 지역의 독립유공자 묘소를 찾아 사계절 내내 참배를 이어가고 있다. 

이번 캠페인은 독립유공자들에 대한 깊은 감사와 존경의 마음을 담아 연중 행사로 진행되고 있다.

지청 관계자는 "보훈부의 일원으로서 광복 80주년을 의미 있게 보내고 있다고 생각한다"며 "앞으로도 독립유공자들의 정신을 계승하고 알리는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

독립유공자 묘소 참배 캠페인은 올해 연말까지 계속 진행될 예정이다.

This reading club was a subordinate organization of the student division of the secret society "Gyeongseong Communist Group," and Governor Lee played a leading role in the street section of the Gyeongseong Communist Group.

He was arrested and imprisoned in 1941 due to a massive crackdown by the Japanese police, but was acquitted and released in 1944.
