재단법인 고양국제박람회재단이 스타필드 고양과 함께 진행하는 '플라워 팝업스토어' 행사가 큰 호응을 얻고 있다고 발표했다.

현재 스타필드 고양 1층 고메스트리트 앞 행사장에서 열리고 있는 이번 팝업스토어는 9월 7일까지 운영된다.

행사 기간 동안 고양시 화훼 농가들이 직접 참여해 특별히 구성한 상품들을 선보이고 있다.

농가들은 식물을 화분에 심고 피규어나 도자기 픽 등의 소품을 함께 배치해 플랜테리어 활용에 최적화된 상품으로 구성했다. 

이는 최근 MZ세대를 중심으로 식물로 실내 공간을 꾸미는 플랜테리어가 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 트렌드를 적극 반영한 기획이다.

고양국제박람회재단 관계자는 "이번 행사를 통해 식물이 단순히 관상용을 넘어 일상 속에서 감성과 치유의 효과를 동시에 주는 매개체로 자리 잡길 기대한다"고 말했다. 

또한 "앞으로도 꽃과 식물이 일상생활 속에서 더욱 친근하게 자리할 수 있도록 다양한 시도를 이어갈 계획"이라고 덧붙였다.

한편 9월 19일부터 9월 30일까지는 일산호수공원에서 2025고양가을꽃축제가 개최된다.

축제 기간 중에는 화훼농가 10곳이 참여하는 직거래 판매장이 운영돼 시민들이 합리적인 가격으로 꽃과 식물을 구매할 수 있다.

특히 이번 가을꽃축제에서는 고양시농업기술센터와의 협력으로 식물병원을 개설할 예정이다. 

가정에서 키우는 반려식물의 병해충을 전문적으로 진단하고 적절한 처방을 제공하는 서비스로, 반려식물을 기르는 시민들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
