파주소방서가 관내에서 반복적으로 발생하는 전동지게차 및 충전설비 화재를 사전에 차단하기 위한 종합적인 화재안전관리 대책을 추진한다고 발표했다.

파주시에서는 불과 두 달 사이에 전동지게차 충전 중 화재가 연속으로 발생해 지역 안전에 대한 우려가 높아지고 있다. 

7월 23일 조리읍의 한 창고시설에 이어 8월 13일 문산읍의 한 판매시설에서 화재가 발생했으며, 두 사례 모두 충전기나 변압기에서 시작된 것으로 추정된다.

특히 두 현장 모두 일과시간 이후 전동지게차를 장시간 충전하는 과정에서 충전설비 인근의 적치물과 전기적 요인이 복합적으로 작용해 화재가 발생한 것으로 분석됐다. 

다행히 인명피해는 없었으나 창고 내 적재물과 전기시설에 재산피해가 발생했으며, 판매시설의 경우 시민들이 자주 이용하는 공간이어서 더욱 우려를 자아내고 있다.
