고양도시관리공사(사장 강승필)가 고양백석체육센터 수영장의 수질 향상과 시 예산 절감을 동시에 달성할 수 있는 획기적인 방안을 마련했다고 7일 발표했다.

공사는 조달청 혁신제품 시범사용 사업에 선정되어 전해살균제 발생장치를 도입하게 되었으며, 이를 통해 고양시 예산 약 9600만원을 절감하는 효과를 거둘 것으로 기대된다고 밝혔다.

이번에 도입되는 전해살균제 발생장치는 수영장 수질 관리의 핵심 약품인 차아염소산나트륨을 직접 생성하는 첨단 장비다.

기존 화학약품 구매 방식과 달리 소금, 물, 전력만을 사용해 필요한 살균제를 현장에서 바로 만들어낼 수 있어 친환경적이면서도 경제적인 것이 특징이다.

특히 이 장치는 간단한 버튼 조작만으로 농도 조절이 가능하고, 초음파 자동세척 기능과 실시간 이상 신호 통보 시스템을 갖춰 유지보수가 용이하다. 

이를 통해 더욱 안정적이고 효율적인 수질 관리가 가능할 것으로 전망된다.

조달청 혁신제품 시범사용 사업 선정에 따라 고양도시관리공사는 장비 구매비용 전액을 지원받게 되었다. 

8월 중 장비가 설치되면 3개월간 시범 운영을 실시하고, 그 결과를 담은 보고서를 조달청에 제출할 예정이다.
