지축초등학교(교장 박상선)가 여름방학을 맞아 1·2학년 희망 학생들을 대상으로 한 특별 프로그램을 운영한다고 4일 밝혔다.

8월 4일부터  14일까지 진행되는 '여름방학 늘봄플러스 프로그램'은 경기도교육청이 추진하는 방학형 프로그램으로, 기존 2차시 수업에서 1일 2~4차시로 확장된 통합형 운영 모델이다.

이번 프로그램은 배움, 놀이, 돌봄이 어우러진 늘봄학교의 취지를 반영해 환경 친화적 활동과 진로 체험을 중심으로 구성됐다.

주요 활동으로는 ▲친환경 자동차 만들기 ▲공기 정화 식물 꾸미기 등 환경을 생각하는 만들기 활동과 ▲디지털 아티스트 ▲굿즈 디자이너 ▲로봇 메이커 등 다양한 진로 체험이 포함된다.

특히 과학기술 접촉 기회가 상대적으로 적었던 저학년 학생들을 위해 축구슈팅로봇, 오조봇, 뚜루뚜루 로봇 등을 활용한 로봇 교육을 제공해 창의성과 탐구심을 자극하고 융합적 사고력 향상에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

지축초는 프로그램 운영 시 학생 안전을 최우선으로 하여 철저한 안전 대응 체계를 구축했으며, 지역 자원을 연계한 체험활동을 통해 교육 효과를 극대화한다는 방침이다.
