일산소방서(서장 권웅)가 지난 1일 재난현장에서 시민의 생명을 구한 진압대원 3명에게 '라이프 세이버' 인증서를 수여했다고 발표했다.

이번에 라이프세이버로 선정된 소방경 권혁성, 소방위 조상필, 소방교 김승재 3명은 지난 1월 일산동구 문봉동 창고 화재 현장에서 밖으로 나오지 못한 70대 남성을 구조한 공로를 인정받았다.

이들은 일산소방서 최초 라이프세이버로 동료들에게 큰 박수를 받았다.

'라이프 세이버'는 긴박한 재난현장에서 적극적으로 인명을 구조한 소방공무원의 자긍심을 높이기 위한 제도다. 

재난현장 상황, 인명구조의 난이도, 구조대상자의 위험성, 현장조치의 신속성과 적절성 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 선정되며, 경기도지사 인증서가 수여된다.

권웅 일산소방서장은 "위급한 상황 속에서 정확한 판단으로 시민의 생명을 지켜낸 대원들의 용기와 헌신이 동료들에게 큰 귀감이 될 것"이라며 "앞으로도 시민의 안전을 위해 최선을 다해주길 바란다"고 당부했다.

이번 인증서 수여는 현장에서 인명을 구조한 소방관들의 노고를 인정하고 사기를 진작시키는 의미 있는 행사로 평가되고 있다.
