한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부가 경제적 사정으로 결혼식을 올리지 못한 보호대상자 부부들을 위한 특별한 결혼식을 마련해 화제가 되고 있다.

양희철 지부장이 이끄는 한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부는 26일 오후 2시 의정부시 소재 웨딩더낙원에서 '제19회 플라타너스 합동결혼식'을 성대히 개최했다고 발표했다.

이번 행사는 의정부지방검찰청, 의정부시, 웨딩더낙원, 법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회(김명달 회장)의 후원으로 진행됐으며, 경제적 어려움으로 인해 결혼식을 올리지 못했던 보호대상자 부부 5쌍이 주인공이 됐다.

결혼식에는 의정부지방검찰청 김성훈 검사장을 비롯해 법무유관기관장들과 의정부시의회 김연균 의장, 법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회 김명달 회장 등 법무보호위원들이 참석해 축하의 마음을 전했다. 총 150여 명의 하객들이 자리를 빛냈다.

특히 각계각층에서 보내온 축의금과 이불세트 등 다양한 축의물품이 신혼부부들에게 전달되어 따뜻한 마음을 느낄 수 있었다. 

주례를 맡은 경기북부지부협의회 손상철 교수는 "서로에게 예쁘고 좋은 말만을 해주며 서로 아끼고 사랑하면서 오래도록 행복하게 살아가면 좋겠다"며 신랑신부들에게 축하와 격려의 메시지를 전했다.

한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부의 플라타너스 결혼식은 2007년 제1회를 시작으로 올해 19회째를 맞이했다. 지금까지 총 90쌍의 부부가 이 행사를 통해 행복한 가정을 꾸릴 수 있도록 지원받았다.

공단 관계자는 "플라타너스 결혼식은 단순한 결혼식 지원을 넘어 보호대상자들의 가족공동체 회복과 안정적인 사회복귀를 응원하는 의미 있는 행사"라고 설명했다.
