파주소방서 소속 '요'팀이 제14회 전국 일반인 심폐소생술 경연대회에서 대통령상을 수상하며 전국 최고의 실력을 입증했다.

지난 27일 정부세종컨벤션센터에서 개최된 이번 대회는 소방청과 한국소방안전원이 공동 주관하는 전국 규모의 권위 있는 경연대회다. 

전국 일반인의 심폐소생술 능력과 위급상황 대응력을 겨루는 이 대회에는 올해 전국 19개 팀이 참가해 치열한 경쟁을 벌였다.

경기북부 대표로 출전한 파주소방서 '요'팀(1군단 보충대 분대장교육중대)은 산악사고 상황을 생생하게 재현한 시나리오를 통해 뛰어난 실력을 선보였다.

구조 요청부터 환자 상태 확인, 흉부 압박, 자동심장충격기(AED) 사용까지 전 과정을 체계적이고 정확하게 시연한 결과, 심사위원단으로부터 현장 재현력, 기술 숙련도, 팀워크 등 모든 부문에서  완벽한 시연으로 심사위원 만장일치 호평으로 최고 점수를 받았다.

이번 쾌거는 올해 초 '2025년 경기북부 일반 심폐소생술 경연대회'에서의 우수한 성과가 발판이 됐다. 

당시 파주소방서는 전상민 소방위와 이선민 소방장의 체계적인 지도 하에 학생부, 일반부, 장애인부 전 부문에서 1위를 석권하는 놀라운 성과를 거뒀다. 

이 중 일반부 1위팀이 경기북부 대표로 선발되어 전국 본선에 진출했고, 마침내 대통령상이라는 최고의 영예를 안게 됐다.

김명찬 파주소방서장은 "이번 대통령상 수상은 일반인이 직접 참여한 심폐소생술 경연대회에서 경기북부 대표팀이 전국 최고의 성과를 거둔 매우 의미 있는 쾌거"라고 평가했다.

그는 또한 "앞으로도 도민 누구나 심폐소생술을 익히고 위급한 순간 생명을 살릴 수 있도록 응급처치 교육을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다"며 생명 구조 문화 확산에 대한 의지를 밝혔다.

Paju Fire Department's 'Yo' Team won the Presidential Award at the 14th National CPR Competition, proving its top skills nationwide.

This competition, held at the Government Sejong Convention Center on the 27th, is a prestigious nationwide competition jointly hosted by the National Fire Agency and the Korea Fire Safety Institute.

This competition, which tests the CPR skills and emergency response capabilities of the general public nationwide, saw fierce competition this year with 19 teams from across the country participating.

Paju Fire Department's 'Yo' Team (1st Corps Reserve Forces Squad Leader Training Company), representing Northern Gyeonggi, demonstrated outstanding skills through a scenario that vividly recreated a mountain accident situation.

As a result of systematically and accurately demonstrating the entire process from requesting rescue to checking the patient's condition, chest compression, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED), the judges unanimously praised the perfect demonstration in all categories including on-site reproduction, technical proficiency, and teamwork, and received the highest score.

This feat was based on the excellent performance at the '2025 Gyeonggi Northern General CPR Competition' earlier this year.

At that time, Paju Fire Station achieved the amazing feat of winning first place in all categories including student, general, and disabled under the systematic guidance of Fire Commissioner Jeon Sang-min and Fire Chief Lee Seon-min.

Among them, the first place team in the general category was selected as the Gyeonggi Northern representative and advanced to the national finals, and eventually received the highest honor, the Presidential Award.

Paju Fire Chief Kim Myeong-chan said, "This Presidential Award is a very meaningful feat in which the Gyeonggi Northern Team achieved the best result in the country in a CPR competition in which ordinary citizens directly participated."
