일산동부경찰서는 2025년 고양국제꽃박람회 기간 동안 자율방범대, 시민경찰대 등 민간 치안 파트너들과 협력해 행사장 내 시민 안전 확보에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

특히 올해는 카카오 모빌리티와의 협업을 통해 ‘자전거순찰대’를 운영, 기존 순찰차의 접근이 어려운 행사장 내부까지 촘촘한 순찰망을 구축해 보다 강화된 범죄 예방 활동에 나서고 있다.

자전거순찰대는 약 30만 평 규모의 넓은 행사장을 기동력 있게 순찰하며 취약 요소를 발굴하고, 관람객을 대상으로 범죄 예방 홍보 활동도 병행할 예정이다. 

경찰은 부족한 인력을 보완하고 체감 안전도를 높이는 데 자전거순찰대가 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

강찬구 일산동부경찰서장은 “이동파출소 운영과 함께 자율방범대, 시민경찰대, 그리고 카카오 모빌리티의 민간 기술력이 결합되어 더욱 체계적인 치안 시스템이 완성됐다”며 “남은 행사 기간 동안 시민들이 안심하고 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다.[고양=박정호 기자]
