파주시산림조합은 4월 29일 조합 2층 회의실에서 조합원 자녀를 위한 2025년 장학금 전달식을 개최했다.

이날 행사에는 전진옥 조합장을 비롯한 임직원, 조합원 등 40여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

전달식에서는 조합원 자녀 중 대학생 20명이 장학금 수혜자로 선정됐으며, 1인당 100만 원씩 총 2,000만 원의 장학금과 장학증서가 전달됐다.

파주시산림조합은 지난 2006년부터 매년 조합원 자녀에게 장학금을 꾸준히 지원해오고 있으며, 올해까지 총 449명에게 2억 5천만 원을 지급해 조합원 복리증진과 지역사회 인재 육성에 기여하고 있다.

전진옥 조합장은 “장학금 수혜자로 선정된 학생들에게 축하의 인사를 전하며, 이들이 지역사회와 임업 발전에 기여하는 인재로 성장하길 바란다”고 전했다. 

이어 “앞으로도 더 많은 조합원에게 실질적인 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 수익 증대에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.[파주=빅정호 기자]
