재단법인 고양국제꽃박람회가 2025고양국제꽃박람회 기간인 4월 25일부터 5월 11일까지 일산호수공원에서 고양 플라워마켓을 운영한다고 발표했다.

플라워마켓은 꽃박람회 기간 동안 한시적으로 운영되며, 관엽식물, 다육식물, 난관엽, 분재, 야생화 등 다양한 꽃과 화훼 관련 제품을 만나볼 수 있는 공간이다.

특히 고양시 내 33여 개 화훼 농가에서 직접 재배한 화훼를 구매할 수 있어, 소비자와 농가 간 직거래를 통해 화훼소비 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

올해 플라워마켓은 1게이트 인근(장미원)과 노래하는 분수광장, 두 곳에서 운영된다. 두 장소 모두 무료 구역에 위치해 있어 누구나 방문 가능하다. 

1게이트 인근 장미원에서는 화훼 판매장과 농·특산물 판매장이 운영되며, 노래하는 분수광장 인근에서는 화훼류와 농·특산물뿐만 아니라 의류 잡화, 수공예품, 민속용품, 차, 문구류 등 다양한 이색 소품도 판매된다.

플라워마켓 담당자는 "올해는 플라워마켓이 이분화돼 운영된다. 장미원 부근 마켓뿐만 아니라 노래하는 분수광장에서 열리는 플라워마켓에도 방문해 화훼류와 이색 소품까지 모두 둘러보는 것을 추천한다"라고 말했다.
