고양특례시는 지난 13일 관내 시내버스 및 마을버스 운수업체 대표자와 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 고양시민의 대중교통 이용 편의 증진을 위한 버스정책 방향을 공유하고 버스 운영 효율화 방안을 마련하고자 의견을 나누기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 간담회에서는 2025년 ~ 2026년 버스 정책 역점 사업인 고양시 버스 노선체계 개편 연구 용역 추진 계획, 친환경 차량 운행 시 운행률 저하 개선을 위한 준수사항 안내 등 다양한 현안이 다뤄졌다.

시는 본예산 기준 약 920억 원이 투입되는 고양시 대중교통 체계개선을 위한 정책이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 관계자들의 적극적인 협조를 요청했다. 

장문순 버스정책과장은 “준공영제 확대 등 대중교통 시스템 개선을 위해 막대한 재정이 투자되는 만큼 고양시민의 교통편의와 운행 효율성 개선을 위해 끊임없이 고민하며 운수업체와도 지속적으로 협력할 것”이라며 “오늘 논의된 내용을 적극 검토해 실질적인 개선 방안을 마련할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
