재단법인 고양국제꽃박람회는 2025고양국제꽃박람회 기간 시민들이 직접 만든 정원을 전시하는‘시민참여정원’의 참가자를 2월 18일까지 모집한다고 밝혔다.

시민참여정원은 ‘오색빛깔 힐링정원’을 주제로, 최대 10개소의 정원을 조성하고 시민들이 박람회에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 

특히 고양시민이 직접 참여해 창의적인 정원을 조성하면서 정원문화에 대한 관심을 높이고, 도시 환경을 아름답게 가꾸는 동시에 지역사회 구성원 간의 유대감을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 

재단은 행사장을 찾는 관람객에게 시민이 만든 정원을 선보일 수 있는 별도의 전시 구역을 조성하고 2025고양국제꽃박람회 기간인 4월 25일부터 5월 11일까지 작품을 전시할 계획이다. 

참가 신청은 2월 18일까지 가능하며 참가신청서, 작품제안서 등 제출서류를 구비해 이메일 또는 방문 신청하면 된다. 

정흥교 고양국제꽃박람회 대표이사는 “시민참여정원은 시민들이 직접 참여해  정원을 조성함으로써 화훼문화의 활성화와 지역사회 유대감 증진에 기여할 것”이라며 “많은 시민들이 관심을 갖고 참여해주길 바란다.”고 전했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
