사업 대상지는 개발로 인한 급수 수요가 증가하거나 지하수의 수질 악화에 따른 상수도 공급이 필요한 지역으로, 각 읍면동 주민의 의견을 반영해 우선적으로 지역을 선정했다.

파주시는 매년 급수취약지역에 안전한 수돗물 공급을 위해 예산을 확보해 왔으며, 올해는 총사업비 약 32억을 투입해 가압장, 배수관로 4.47km 등 상수도 기반 시설을 확충할 계획이다.

이번 사업을 통해 상수도 공급이 어려웠던 주택 및 공장 단지 등 약 100가구에 안정적인 물 공급이 이뤄져 지역 주민들의 삶의 질을 높이고, 물 복지 실현에도 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
