파주시가 10일 개최된 ‘더불어민주당 지방자치대상’에서 민원행정서비스 2·5·7제도, 이동시장실 운영, 성매매집결지 폐쇄 추진 등 그간 시행해 온 정책의 성과를 인정받아 자치행정 부문에서 우수상을 수상했다.

이번에 개최된 더불어민주당 지방자치대상은 더불어민주당 소속 지방자치단체를 대상으로, 민주연구원이 주최하고 (사)한국정책경영연구원이 주관한 것으로, 평가 분야는 더불어민주당 가치·철학에 기초한 8대 정책 역량 및 성과인 ▲기본사회 ▲인구감소대응 ▲자치행정 ▲재정분권 ▲지역경제활성화 ▲기후위기 ▲사회통합 ▲균형발전 등이다.

우선 기본사회 부문 정책에는 전국 최초 ‘긴급에너지 생활안정지원금’ 지급, 전국 최초 ‘학생전용 통학순환버스’ 파프리카 운행, 전국 최초 마을버스 준공영제 전환, 수요응답형 똑버스 도입·확대, 전국 최초 ‘고엽제 민간인 피해자 지원’ 사례를 비롯하여, 출생축하지원금 지원 확대, 맞춤형 기본소득 지급, 공공심야 어린이병원·약국 확대 성과 등을 신청했다.

또한 지역경제 활성화 부문 정책에는 전국 최대 규모 지역화폐 발행 및 사용처 확대 추진, ‘제1회 파주시 기업박람회’ 개최, 소상공인 및 청년 지원 사업 등을 제출했다. 

그 결과 파주시는 인허가 등 행정 절차를 2배 이상 단축하며 행정서비스 만족도를 높인 ‘민원행정서비스 2·5·7제도’, 시민이 있는 현장으로 찾아가는 적극 소통행정인 ‘이동시장실’ 운영, ‘성매매 집결지 폐쇄’ 추진 등 자치행정 부문에서 우수상을 수상했다.
