파주소방서는 ‘따뜻한 동행 경기119’ 아홉 번째 지원대상자로 파주시 관내 취약계층 2가구가 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

‘따뜻한 동행 경기119’는 경기도소방재난본부가 2022년도부터 모금을 시작한 사랑나눔 프로젝트로 도내 취약계층의 생활 안정을 돕기 위해 추진되고 있다.

이 사업은 자발적으로 참여한 도 소방공무원 및 의용소방대원이 매일 119원을 적립해 마련한 기금으로 경제적 어려움을 겪는 이웃을 돕는 사업이며 2023년 지원을 시작한 이래로 파주소방서에서 4명이 선정되었다.

이번 지원 대상자인 A 씨는 기초생활 수급 및 장애연금 수령하고 있으나, 중학생 자녀의 지적 장애로 생활의 어려움을 겪고 있다.

B 씨는 정신과적 증상으로 취업이 어려워 아르바이트로 생계를 이어오던 중 이번 지원을 받게 됐다.

이상태 파주소방서장은 “가치 있는 기부에 동참하고 있는 파주소방서 직원들께 감사하다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃들에게 희망을 전하고 지역사회와 함께 나누는 소방서로 거듭나기 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.[파주=빅정호 기자]
