고양특례시 일산동구 정발산동은 최근 강추위가 연일 이어지자 한파에 취약한 어르신의 안부를 확인하기 위해 지난 10일부터 7가구에 방문했다고 밝혔다.

정발산동장을 중심으로 행정복지센터에서 근무 중인 간호직 공무원이 함께 홀몸노인 가정을 집중적으로 방문해 방한용품을 지원하고 어르신의 건강 상태를 확인하고 있다.

안수길 동장은“혹한기에 취약한 세대를 우선적으로 현지 방문하여 생활불편 사항을 점검하고 필요한 도움을 드릴 수 있어서 감사하다”며, 또“복지사각지대 없는 살기 좋은 지역을 위해 노력하겠다”고 전했다.  

한편, 정발산동은 동 특화사업으로 ‘건강충전소’라는 프로그램을 운영해 매월 돌봄이 필요한 독거노인을 선정 후 가정에 방문해 건강용품을 지원하고 있다. 또한 어르신들의 건강 상태를 꾸준히 살피는 등 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공하고 있다. [고양=박정호 기자]
