고양소방서는 내년 1월 1일부터 2월 28일까지 2개월간 덕양구 관내 소화기 도·소매업체를 대상으로 미인증 소화기 유통행위 집중단속에 나선다고 26일 밝혔다.

소화기는 '소방시설 설치 및 관리에 관한 법률'에 따라 한국소방산업기술원(KFI)의 형식승인과 제품검사를 받고 합격표시가 있어야 유통할 수 있다.

미인증 소화기는 안전성 검증을 받지 않아서 화재 발생 시 제대로 작동하지 않거나 오히려 화재를 확산시킬 수 있어 매우 위험하다.

주요 단속기준은 △형식승인을 받지 않은 소화기 판매·진열 및 소방시설 공사 사용 여부 △리튬배터리용 및 전기차 전용 소화기와 관련한 허위·과장 광고 여부 등이다.
