최근 의료대란으로 인해 응급의료 서비스의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있는 가운데, 이번 간담회는 이러한 위기 상황에 효과적으로 대응하기 위한 협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련되었다.

주요 내용은 ▲ 심정지, 심정지 임박 환자 지역응급의료센터 우선 수용 ▲ 관내 응급환자 발생 시 환자수용 관련 사항 논의 ▲ 중증응급환자 이송지연 발생 시 초기 1차 처치 가능 사항 협의 등이다.

동국대일산병원 응급의료센터장은 "지역사회 내 응급환자들의 생존율을 높이기 위해 병원과 소방서 간의 협력이 필수적"이라며, "이번 협의체를 통해 의료진과 소방대원의 협력 체계가 한층 더 강화되기를 기대한다"고 말했다.
