일산동부경찰서에서는 지난 16일 LH고양사업본부(본부장 권운혁)와 협업하여 장항공공주택지구 내 주민들의 치안 수요를 메워줄「장항 치안e음센터」를 개소하였다.

「장항 치안e음센터」명칭은 주민들의 소리에 귀를 기울여 의미있는 관계를 유지하여 치안활동을 전개하겠다는 의지를 담은 것으로, engage(관계를 맺다)의 ‘e’와 한자 音(소리 음)의 ‘음’을 결합하여 치안활동을 펼쳐가겠다는 의지를 담아 작명하였다.

 센터가 위치한 장항지구는 실제로 작년대비 112신고건수가 약12% 증가하였고, ’28년까지 약3만명의 인구 유입과 더불어 인근 일산테크노밸리 등 대규모 도시개발사업으로 유동인구까지 늘어날 것이 예상되는 상황으로 치안수요에 대비하기 위해, 일산동부경찰서와 LH고양사업본부가 16일 주민들이 많이 이용하는 공원 내 주민친화적 디자인을 가미한「장항 치안e음센터」를 설치하였다.
