재단법인 파주문화재단은 15일 오후 파주시민회관 소공연장 앞에서 파주문화재단 출범식을 개최하고 공식적인 출발을 알렸다.

이날 출범식은 ▲파주시립소년소녀합창단의 식전 축하공연 ▲경과보고 ▲기념사 및 축사 ▲현판식 순으로 진행됐다.

김경일 파주시장은 기념사에서 “시민들이 꾸준히 필요성을 제기하고 기다려온 파주문화재단은 문화도시 파주를 만드는 데 중요한 기점이 될 것”이라며, “시민 누구나 보편적으로 누리는 문화복지 실현을 위한 재단의 역할을 기대한다”라고 말했다.

김영준 대표이사는 출범사에서 ‘시민과 동행하는 문화도시 파주’라는 재단의 비전과 ▲시민문화권 확산 ▲문화복지 실현 ▲지역 문화예술자원 활성화 ▲소통과 협력의 열린 경영 등 재단의 4대 전략과제 추진을 발표하며, 재단이 지역문화의 새로운 장을 열어가는 리더이자 시민과 지역예술인의 든든한 동반자가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

파주문화재단은 파주시의 출연기관으로 2022년 8월부터 설립을 본격 추진해 지난 9월 창립총회를 거쳐 10월 설립을 마쳤다.
