제7회 파주시 아너스데이(Honour’s Day)가 15일 운정행복센터 다목적홀에서 개최됐다.

‘아너스데이’는 나눔의 가치를 몸소 실천하며 더 따뜻한 파주시를 만드는 데 기여한 나눔 유공자와 고액 기부자들에게 감사의 마음과 예우를 표하기 위해 마련된 행사다.

시는 읍면동과 사회복지시설·단체 등을 통해 추천받아 심의를 거쳐 25명의 나눔 유공자를 선정했다.

이날 행사는 클래식 공연을 시작으로, 아너 소사이어티 및 나눔명문기업 감사패 전달, 나눔 유공자 표창 수여, 아너 소사이어티 신규 가입식, 이웃돕기 나눔 영상 시청, 단체사진 촬영 순으로 진행됐다. 

2013년 제1호 파주시 아너소사이어티가 탄생한 이래 현재까지 회원은 20명이었으나, 이날 이흥수 주식회사 칠성 대표가 1억 원 기부를 약정하며 21호 아너 소사이어티 회원으로 가입했다.

김경일 파주시장은 “파주시 지역사회 발전과 나눔 문화를 이끄는 길에 앞장서주셔서 감사드린다”라며, “파주시도 취약계층의 복지증진을 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.[파주=빅정호 기자]

The 7th Paju City Honor’s Day was held on the 15th at the Unjeong Happiness Center Multipurpose Hall.

‘Honour’s Day’ is an event designed to express gratitude and courtesy to those who have contributed to making Paju a warmer city by practicing the value of sharing and to large donors. The city selected 25 sharing contributors after reviewing recommendations from towns, townships, and social welfare facilities and organizations.

The event began with a classical performance, followed by the presentation of plaques of appreciation from the Honor Society and Sharing Company, awarding of commendations to sharing contributors, Honor Society new membership ceremony, watching a video of sharing to help neighbors, and taking a group photo.

Since the first Paju City Honor Society was established in 2013, there have been 20 members so far, but on this day, Lee Heung-soo, CEO of Chilseong Co., Ltd., pledged to donate 100 million won and joined as the 21st Honor Society member.
