파주소방서는 지난 6일 ‘화재없는 안전마을’로 지정된 5개소를 대상으로 LG디스플레이와 굿네이버스가 주최한 주택용 소방시설 전달식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 전달식은 문산읍 장산2리 마을회관에서 임원빈 3반 반장, 심근보 직천1리 이장 등 마을주민 15명과 탁정환 LG디스플레이, 손영조 굿네이버스, 소방공무원 4명, 서영대학교 119청소년단 8명이 참석하였으며, 주택용소방시설 관리 및 사용법에 대한 소방안전교육과 한국119청소년단(서영대학교 소방안전과) 학생들과 교수진들이 주택용 소방시설을 직접 설치 해주는 봉사활동도 이어졌다.

LG디스플레이는 굿네이버스를 통해 사회공헌활동으로 ‘화재없는 안전마을’로 지정된 5개 마을에 주택용 소방시설(소화기 280점, 화재경보기 560개)를 기증하여 내용연수가 경과된 소화기를 교체하는 자리로 마련됐다.

‘화재없는 안전마을’은 소방력의 신속한 접근이 어려운 농촌, 산간지역에 주택용 소방시설 보급하여 마을 단위 자체 대응능력을 향상시키고자 2011년부터 매년 안전마을로 지정하여 관리하고 있다.

이상태 서장은 “이번 행사를 통해 화재에 대한 마을 주민들의 자발적인 안전의식이 높아지기를 바란다”며 “LG디스플레이의 후원과 굿네이버스의 지원에 깊이 감사드리며 앞으로도 재난 취약 지역에 적절한 소방 대책을 마련하고, 모든 시민이 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.[파주=박정호 기자]
