일산동부경찰서는 지난 18일 강찬구 일산동부경찰서장이 대한노인회 일산동구지회 ‘노인의 날’ 행사에 참석해 교통안전 기여자 감사장 수여식을 가졌다.

이날 행사에는 강찬구 일산동부경찰서장과 이동환 고양시장, 김운남 고양시의회의장 등이 참석했다.

강찬구 서장은 ▷ 어르신의 안전한 사회활동 ▷ 어르신 교통사고 예방 위해 경찰의 노력도를 알리기도 했으며, 대한노인회 회원 2명에게 ‘고령자 교통사고 예방 및 교통행정 발전에 기여한 공로‘로 감사장을 수여하고 고령자 사고예방을 위한 교통안전용품 전달 및 형광조끼 착복식도 진행됐다.

경찰은 고령자 보행 시 안전용품을 착용하고, 무단횡단 하지 않기, 인도로 걸어가기 등 작은 교통법규라도 반드시 준수하여 노인교통사고 발생치 않도록 당부했다. [고양=박정호 기자]
