파주시산림조합(조합장 전진옥)은 지역내 어르신들의 건강증진과 여가선용을 도모하기 위하여 제11회 파주시산림조합장기 게이트볼대회를 8월 29일 파주스타디움 게이트볼 전용구장에서 개최됐다.

이날 대회에는 더불어민주당 박정 국회의원, 박대성 시의회 의장, 이익선 시의회 부의장, 박세영 대한노인회 파주시지회장, 백윤기 게이트볼협회장, 구선회 파주농협 조합장, 송희섭 파주시체육회 부회장, 파주시산림조합 임직원 등 기관 단체장과 파주시 읍면동 100여명의 선수들이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다.

전진옥 조합장은 대회사에서 대회 준비에 힘써주신 파주시게이트볼연합회 백윤기 회장님이하 협회여러분들과 무더운 날시에도 참석하여 자리를 빛내주신 단체장님, 파주시 읍면동 선수들에게 감사를 표하며, 건실한 조합경영을 통해 내년에도 게이트볼 대회를 개최하여 지역사회에서 어르신들께 봉사하면서 사회적 책임을 다하는 조합이 되겠다고 말했다.

이날 대회에서는 월롱A ․ 조리B ․ 광탄A ․ 운정3동팀이 장려상, 파주 ․ 적성B팀이 공동3위, 금촌A팀이 준우승, 광탄B팀이 우승의 영예를 안았으며, 시상식을 끝으로 성황리에 대회를 마쳤다.[파주=빅정호 기자]
