천안 유관순체육관에서 진행된 연설회에는 출마 후보들 외에 중앙당 주요당직자, 당 선거관리위원회 위원장 및 위원, 시·도당 위원장, 시·도별 당협위원장 등이 참석했다. 

행사는 황우여 비상대책위원장, 서병수 중앙당 선거관리위원장, 추경호 원내대표, 정점식 정책위의장, 성일종 사무총장, 김영석 충남도당위원장 등의 인사말씀으로 개시됐다.
