고양특례시가 ‘일을 잘하고 있다고 보는지’ 질문에 대해 ‘잘하고 있다’는 응답이 72.9%로 ‘잘못하고 있다’는 응답 26.4%보다 월등히 높게 나타나, 대다수의 시민이 현재 시정 운영에 대해 긍정적으로 평가했다.

지난해 5월에 실시한 여론조사와 비교하면 긍정평가가 11.1%p(61.8% → 72.9%) 상승한 것으로 민선 8기 2주년에 즈음하여 시정이 더욱 안정되었다고 볼 수 있는 대목이다.

분야별 만족도에서는 모든 분야에 대해 만족층이 불만족층보다 월등히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 

고양특례시 거주 만족도에 대해서는 ‘만족스럽다’는 응답이 86.8%로 매우 높게 나타났으며 ‘불만족스럽다’는 응답은 11.5%에 그쳤다.

향후 중점을 두어야 할 분야는 ‘도시개발’이라는 응답이 25.8%로 가장 높았으며, ▲복지(18.8%) ▲교통(18.0%) ▲문화체육관광(12.1%) ▲산업(8.4%) ▲안전(7.9%) ▲환경(4.5%) ▲교육(3.9%) 순으로 조사됐다.
