고양특례시 고봉동 지역사회보장협의체가 지난 30일 동행정복지센터에서 뿌리깊은나무농원(대표 윤지영)과 반려식물 전달식을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 반려식물 50세트를 후원받았다.

고봉동에 위치한 뿌리깊은나무농원은 매년 독거어르신들을 위해 반려식물을 기부하고 있다.

이번에 기부 받은 반려식물은 협의체 위원들이 독거어르신 가구에 직접 방문하여 전달할 예정이다.

뿌리깊은나무농원 관계자는 “홀로 사시는 어르신들이 늘 행복했으면 좋겠다. 앞으로도 어려운 이웃을 위해 힘닿는 데까지 기부하고 싶다”고 말했다.

지역사회보장협의체 이종억 민간위원장은 “고봉동은 독거가구가 많아 도움의 손길이 절실한데 매년 기부를 해주시는 뿌리깊은나무농원에 감사하다. 전달된 반려식물은 어르신들의 일상에 소소한 기쁨을 줄 것”이라고 전했다.

한편, 뿌리깊은나무농원은 일산동구 사리현동에 위치하고 있으며 2021년 고봉동 지역사회보장협의체와 업무협약을 맺고 고봉동의 독거어르신들을 위해 카네이션과 반려식물을 기부해 왔다.[고양=박정호 기자]
