고양특례시(시장 이동환) 농업기술센터는 지난 26일 만 4세 이상 어린이 가족을 대상으로 ‘박물관 예술 텃밭:씨들’ 가와지쌀 모내기 체험 협력 프로그램을 진행했다.

이번에 진행된 ‘가와지쌀 모내기 체험’은 고양어린이박물관의‘박물관 예술텃밭:씨들’ 프로그램 4회 차로 고양시 농업기술센터 협력 하에 대화농업체험공원에서 진행됐다.

시는 어린이들에게 가와지볍씨의 역사와 문화적 가치를 알려주고 생태관찰과 모내기 체험을 통해 우리가 먹는 쌀의 중요성과 농부에 대한 감사한 마음을 몸소 느껴보는 계기를 마련하고자 모내기 체험을 준비했다. 

농업기술센터 관계자는 "이번 가와지쌀 모내기 체험학습을 통해 가와지볍씨의 역사와 가치를 알리는 데 주력할 것”이라며 ”이와 같은 체험학습 활동이 지속적으로 추진될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.  

한편 고양어린이박물관의 ‘박물관 예술텃밭:씨들’ 프로그램은 텃밭 활동을 통해 협동심과 자연의 소중함을 체험하는 도시농부 프로그램으로, 자연예술놀이를 통해 심미적 감성 역량과 건강한 가치관을 배양하도록 돕는다. 매주 자연예술놀이와 텃밭놀이로 진행되며, 고양어린이박물관 4층 옥상정원 텃밭에서 진행된다.[고양=박정호 기자]
