고양도시관리공사는 지난 17일 고양환경에너지시설에서 일산소방서와 함께 화재 발생 시 인적 및 물적 피해 예방을 위한 소방합동훈련을 실시했다고 20일 밝혔다. 

이날 훈련은 고양환경에너지시설 생활폐기물이 저장되는 폐기물 저장조 입구 반입장에서 화재가 발생한 상황을 가정하여 소방관과 시설 관계자 등이 참여해 화재 초동 대처와 인명 대피 훈련 등을 실시했다.

훈련 종료 후 일산소방서 관계자는 강평을 통해 “모든 인원이 침착하고 능숙하게 실전과 같이 훈련에 임하는 모습이 대단히 인상적이며, 실제 상황에서도 훈련과 같이 대응 및 행동하면 재난 상황에 충분히 대처가 가능할 것 같다”라고 말했다.

공사 강승필 사장은 “고양환경에너지시설은 고양특례시 유일의 생활폐기물 소각시설로 화재 발생 시 가연성 생활폐기물로 인해 대형화재로 이어질 수 있으며, 고양특례시 청소행정에 막대한 지장을 초래하는 만큼 앞으로도 소방서와의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 안전한 사업장을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
