일산동부경찰서는 26일부터 시작되는 고양국제꽃박람회 행사장 일대 공중화장실을 대상으로 지난 25일 불법촬영 카메라 설치 여부를 점검하였다고 밝혔다.

올해는 행사 구역이 넓어진 만큼 방문객도 크게 증가할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 시민의 불안감을 미연에 해소하고자, 꽃박람회 시설 관리자 및 경기도북부경찰청 기동순찰대와 합동점검반을 구성하여 화장실 12개소를 사전 집중 점검 후 자체 제작한 불법촬영 근절 스티커를 부착하여 불법촬영에 대한 경각심을 제고하는 등 성범죄 예방 활동을 강화하였다. 

송호송 서장은 “고양국제꽃박람회를 방문한 시민과 관광객들이 안심하고 행사장을 이용할 수 있도록 성범죄 예방 활동을 강화하는 등 안전한 치안환경 조성을 위하여 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.[고양=박정호 기자]
