이동환 고양특례시장은 13일 월례조회에서 “올해 고양특례시는 자랑스러운 성과들로 꽉 찬 한 해였다”고 소회를 밝히며 직원들의 노고를 격려하고 한 해를 돌아보는 시간을 가졌다.

 - 대곡소사선, 일산테크노밸리, 시군종합평가 1위(최우수) 달성 등 주요성과 공유

이동환 시장은 대표적인 성과들로 내년 최종 발표를 앞두고 있는 경제자유구역 지정, 시민들의 출퇴근 부담을 덜어 준 대곡소사선 개통, 민자적격성 조사를 통과한 고양-양재 지하고속도로를 언급했다.

또한, 본격적인 부지 조성에 착수한 일산테크노밸리, 추진력을 다시 얻어 신속하게 건립 예정인 킨텍스 제3전시장, 드론·스마트 시티 등 국가 첨단산업 분야에서도 두각을 드러내며 빠르게 산업 우위를 선점해 가고 있다고 강조했다. 

특히 도시의 역량을 한눈에 보여주는 시군종합평가 1위(최우수) 달성은 고양시가 어느 하나 빠짐없이 잘하는 도시로 인정받은 것이기에 더욱 의미가 크다고 밝혔다.

 - 경제자유구역 위한 선진국가 벤치마킹과 글로벌 기업유치 총력

최근 공무 국외 출장의 성과를 공유하는 시간도 가졌다. “국외 출장은  경제자유구역 지정을 대비하여 경제자유구역을 글로벌 첨단기업과 핵심기업으로 채워가기 위한 발판을 마련하는데 그 의의가 있다”고 강조했다. 

“독일, 룩셈부르크, 영국, 중국, 싱가포르 등 여러 국가를 방문하며 해외 경제 네트워크 구축에 집중했고 세계 각지에 고양특례시를 알리고 투자를 제안하는 일은 쉽지 않았지만 그만큼 가치 있는 과정이었다”며 소회를 밝히기도 했다.

“2025년 세계지방정부연합 아시아태평양지부 총회 유치로 국제무대에서 고양특례시의 인지도나 위상이 크게 높아질 것”이라고 기대감을 나타냈다.

시청사 이전 재검토 관련해서는 백석이전 추진에 대한 변함없는 의지를 나타냈다. 이 시장은 “이번 경기도 투자심사 재검토 결정으로 일정이 지연된 것은 사실이나 시청사 이전은 시민을 위한 최선의 결정이기에 경기도 투자심사에 재상정하여 속도감 있는 추진을 하겠다”고 밝혔다.  

 - 동절기 안전 대책 마련에 최선…취약계층에 대한 따뜻한 관심 당부

겨울철 안전관리에 최선을 다해 줄 것을 주문하기도 했는데 상습 도로결빙 구역의 선제적 점검과 제설 장비, 염화칼슘 등을 사전 확보하여    신속한 제설로 시민 불편이 없도록 최선을 다해 달라고 당부했다.

한편, 이날 월례조회에서는 셀트리온 대표이사인 기우성 부회장을 초청해 「셀트리온의 성공비결과 경제자유구역 지정 관련 제언」 특강을 진행했다.
