고양도시관리공사(사장직무대행 이종경)는 9일 서울대 호암교수회관에서 열린 제24회 한국FM대상 건축물안전관리 부분 대상을 수상했다고 밝혔다. 

(사)한국FM학회가 주최하는 이번 시상은 퍼실리티 매니지먼트(FM) 기법을 통한 탁월한 경영성과를 올린 단체에게 주는 시상으로, 공사는 건축물안전관리 체육시설 부분에 고양체육관을 응모하였다.

2011년 준공된 고양체육관은 수영, 골프 등 10개 종목 월 65,000여명이 이용하는 공공체육시설로 임직원 안전의식, 안전관리 조직 및 체계, 사전 예방관리 활동, 중대재해처벌법 준수 등의 항목에서 우수한 평가를 받아 공공기관 최초로 건축물안전관리 부분 대상에 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

공사 이종경 사장 직무대행은 “고양시 대표 공공체육시설인 고양체육관의 안전관리 역량을 전문가들로부터 인정받아 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 108만 고양시민의 안전과 쾌적한 시설이용을 위해 공사에서 관리·운영중인 모든 공공시설의 안전관리를 더욱 강화해 나가겠다“고 말했다. 

 한편 고양체육관은 2014년 우수공공체육시설 선정(문화체육관광부), 2022년 지진안전시설물 인증(행정안전부) 등 정부 주관 수상을 통해 우수한 관리·운영 역량을 입증해오고 있다. [고양=박정호 기자]

Goyang Gymnasium, completed in 2011, is a public sports facility used by about 65,000 people a month in 10 sports, including swimming and golf, and has received excellent evaluations in items such as employee safety awareness, safety management organization and system, preventive management activities, and compliance with the Severe Accident Punishment Act. It received the honor of being the first public institution to be selected for the grand prize in the building safety management category.
