출향한 강원인으로 중소기업인, 세무·회계·금융·공무원 등으로 구성된 강원연합회(회장 홍성희) 회원 20명이 지난 4일부터 1박2일 일정으로 그리운 고향을 찾아 사랑을 실천하는 고향탐방 행사를 강원도 고성군에서 가졌다.

2016년 출범해 매년 고향탐방 행사를 실천하고 있는 고양특례시 강원연합회는 지난해 춘천 방문에 이어 올해에는 대한민국 최북단 고성군 명파리 마을회관을 방문하여 사전에 주민들이 필요로 했던 의자 70개와 대형 전자벽시계를 기증하고 인근 비닐하우스 고추밭을 찾아 막바지 고추수확 작업 등 부족한 농촌일솝돕기 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

이후 분단의 상징인 통일전망대 견학과 고성8경의 하나인 화진포 방문, 건봉사, 왕곡마을 등 다양한 지역 문화관광 투어를 통해 고향의 정취를 느끼는 한편 감자, 청정 동해바다 해산물 등 지역 특산물 구입과 팔아주기를

통해 지역경제에 조금이나마 도움을 드리고 회원간의 친목을 다지고 화합하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
