파주시는 철도노조의 총파업이 14일 오전 9시부터 예고됨에 따라 시민 불편을 최소화하기 위한 비상 대책을 마련했다.

또한 파업 기간 중 택시 운행 독려 및 필요시 출퇴근 시간대에 버스를 집중 배차해 시민들의 불편 및 혼잡을 줄일 계획이다.

이와 함께 인터넷, 누리 소통망(SNS), 공동주택 안내방송, 버스 정보 안내기, 전광판 등 다양한 홍보 매체를 활용해 시민들에게 관련 내용을 알리고 불편을 최소화할 예정이다.

한편 실제 파업이 이뤄지면 평시 대비 ▲케이티엑스(KTX) 67.8% ▲일반열차(새마을·무궁화호) 58.0%~62.8% ▲화물열차 24.8%로 각각 운행률이 낮아질 전망이다. 

특히 광역전철(경의·중앙선)은 출퇴근 시는 일부 열차가 미운행 될 것으로 예상되며, 평시는 70~75% 수준으로 운행돼 시민들의 불편이 예상된다.
