고양특례시는 2023 고양시 도시주택학교를 지난 5월 24일부터 7월 1일까지 6주 동안  성공적으로 운영했다. 

‘2023 고양시 도시주택학교’는 고양시의 노후계획도시 통합재건축과 재개발 등 도시정비에 대해  참가자 접수 이틀 만에 150명이 넘는 고양시민이 강의에 신청하는 등  많은 관심을 가지고 있는 만큼, 시민의 궁금증을 해소하고 시민 의견을 수렴하기 위해 이번 프로그램을 운영했다.

강의는 고양도시관리공사가 주관했다. 

강의는 현장경험이 풍부한 최고의 강사들이 ▲도시정비를 위한 시민의 역할 ▲노후계획도시특별법의 이해 ▲재건축 추진과 관련된 세부 내용 ▲지역 활성화를 위한 상권계획 등 도시정비와 재건축과 관련된 전반의 과정을 강의했다.

도시주택학교 참여 시민은 “알고 싶었던 핵심 내용을 쉽고 간결하게 설명해주어서 많은 의문이 풀렸다.”고 전했다.

이동환 고양시장은 “노후계획도시 정비와 관련해 고양시민이 관심을 기울이고 있다. 지속적으로 시민에게 정책 변화를 설명하는 자리를 마련하겠다. 하반기에는 국토부 관계자 초청 강연이나 전문가 컨설팅 등 더 전문화된 프로그램을 운영해 시민 여러분들의 기대에 부응하겠다.”고 말했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
