고양시는 2030년 인구 114만 명을 대비한 폐기물처리시설 연계 자원그린에너지파크 조성사업에 대한 주민의견을 청취하기 위해 오는 7월 6일 고양시청 문예회관에서 시민 300여 명이 참석할 예정인 가운데 공청회를 개최한다.

이번 자원그린에너지파크 조성사업은 ‘2026년 수도권매립지 생활폐기물 직매립금지’ 정부 정책에 따라 기존의 고양시 폐기물 처리계획을 재정비하고 2030년 급변할 수 있는 도시 여건에 대응하기 위한 사업이다. 

시 관계자는 “2030년을 향한 고양시의 폐기물처리시설 설치 구상에 시민여러분의 소중한 의견이 반영될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”며 “‘새로운 자족도시 고양시대’를 만들어가는 청사진을 마련하는데 더 많은 시민과 전문가의 지혜가 집결되길 바란다”고 말했다
