UAM은 도심형 항공기를 활용해 사람과 화물을 수송하는 항공교통체계로, 국토교통부가 2025년 말 상용화를 목표로 실증사업을 위해 지난 12일 수도권 2단계 실증노선 구축지역을 확정했다.

2단계는 고양 킨텍스에서 김포공항과 여의도로 이어지는 노선으로, 고양시는 한강을 끼고 있는 이점을 최대한 살려 UAM산업의 최적지로써 가치를 증명했다. 이착륙장(버티포트)은 대화동 킨텍스 일원 약 1만8,000㎡에 구축한다.
