파주시 소재 공공도서관(22곳)은 오는 3월 2일부터 북스타트 책꾸러미를 선착순으로 배부한다. 

지방자치단체와 비영리단체인 북스타트코리아가 함께 펼치는 지역사회 문화운동인 북스타트란 ‘책과 함께 인생을 시작하자’는 취지의 사회적 육아지원사업으로, 그림책을 매개로 아기와 부모가 풍요로운 관계를 형성하고 책을 좋아하는 어른으로 자랄 수 있도록 돕는다.

북스타트 책꾸러미 배부 대상자는 ▲북스타트(0~18개월) ▲북스타트플러스(19~35개월) ▲보물상자(36개월~만6세 미취학아동)에 해당하는 영유아로 파주시에 주소를 두고 있어야 한다.

아기 본인 또는 가족 중 1명이 파주시도서관 회원이어야 하며, 아기의 나이와 가족관계증명서 1부를 지참해 배부 기관을 방문하면 수령할 수 있다. 

책꾸러미에는 연령대에 맞는 도서 2권과 북스타트 가이드북, 북스타트선정도서목록, 등이 들어있으며, 일부 도서관에서는 파주시보건소에서 지원한 유아용 마스크가 포함될 예정이다. 

각 도서관에서 진행되는 책놀이 프로그램은 도서관 홈페이지나 소식지 등을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 

이인숙 중앙도서관장은 “평생교육의 출발점을 도서관에서 시작하며 어려서부터 책과 친해진 아이들이 자라서도 스스로를 보호할 힘을 기를 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다. 

한편, 중앙도서관과 교하도서관, 가람도서관, 금촌3동솔빛도서관에서는 북스타트와 연계된 책놀이 프로그램 및 부모교육 프로그램 등도 운영될 예정이다. [파주=박정호 기자]

Public libraries (22 locations) in Paju will distribute Bookstart book bundles on a first-come, first-served basis from March 2nd.

Bookstart, a community cultural movement jointly developed by local governments and Bookstart Korea, a non-profit organization, is a social childcare support project with the purpose of 'starting life with books', and promotes a rich relationship between babies and parents through picture books. To distribute Bookstart bundles, you must have an address in Paju with ▲Bookstart (0-18 months) ▲Bookstart Plus (19-35 months) ▲Treasure Box (36-months-6 years old preschool children) do.

The baby or one of the family members must be a member of the Paju Library, and can receive the baby's age and a copy of the family relation certificate by visiting the distributing institution.

The book bundle contains two books suitable for each age group, a book start guidebook, a list of selected books for book start, and some libraries will include masks for infants supported by the Paju Public Health Center.
