덕양구는 이달 7일부터 30일까지 이곳에서 팝아트와 자연환경미술 작품을 차례로 선보인다고 밝혔으며 먼저 7일부터 16일까지는 고양시여성회관 팝아트반 수강생들이 그린 작품 40점가량이 걸리고 이는 같은 강좌에서 수업을 함께 들은 회원들이 결과물을 동료들과 나누고 싶다는 뜻에서 마련한 자리다.

19일부터 30일까지는 ‘제15회 한국자연환경미술회원전’이 바통을 이어받으며 한국자연환경미술회는 기성작가와 아마추어 작가가 함께 활동하는 단체로, 고양의 자연환경을 화폭에 담기 위해 해마다 회원전을 열고 있으며 올해는 작가 50명이 참여해 100여 점을 내놓는다.

갤러리 ‘꿈’은 구청 2층의 빈 공간을 전시 공간으로 바꿔 운영하는 곳이며 전시관 2곳에서 여러 장르의 작품을 무료로 볼 수 있으며, 신인 작가가 첫발을 내딛는 무대로도 쓰이고 있다.
