Goyang City Promotes Healthy Drinking Culture with "Express Bus to Moderate Drinking" Campaign
The Ilsandong-gu Public Health Center in Goyang Special City is launching an interactive campaign designed to help citizens reflect on their drinking habits and realize the importance of practicing moderation.
The center announced that the "Express Bus to Moderate Drinking" campaign will take place at Modang Park on the 18th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Held under the slogan "Direct Route to Health! Express Bus to Moderate Drinking!", the event aims to inform citizens about the impact of alcohol on both physical health and daily life. It features various hands-on activities and counseling programs to help participants assess their own drinking habits and adopt moderate drinking as a lifestyle.
On-site activities include trying on "drunk goggles," filling out "moderate drinking tickets," undergoing stress tests and counseling, and participating in a survey on drinking habits. By wearing the goggles, participants can experience firsthand the visual impairments and movement difficulties associated with intoxication, thereby gaining a real sense of the dangers of drunk driving.
Additionally, the survey allows participants to examine their usual drinking habits, while stress tests and counseling provide guidance on healthy stress relief—without relying on alcohol—and practical tips for moderating alcohol intake. Participants will also have the opportunity to write down their personal pledges for moderate drinking on the "tickets," reinforcing their commitment to making healthy changes in their daily lives.
An official from the Ilsandong-gu Public Health Center stated, "We hope this campaign serves as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on their drinking habits and consider the health risks associated with alcohol consumption," adding, "We will continue to organize diverse programs to help local residents practice healthy lifestyle habits."
