파주시 금촌2동 실버경찰대가 지난 3일 금촌2동 행정복지센터 다목적회의실에서 대원들을 모아 놓고 치매예방교육을 진행했다.

강의는 파주시 치매안심센터에서 나온 정현주 간호사가 맡았으며 치매가 무엇인지부터 시작해 예방을 위해 지켜야 할 수칙, 선별검사 방법 등을 짚어주며 어르신들이 집에서도 스스로 실천할 수 있는 예방법을 알기 쉽게 풀어 설명했다.

김선희 금촌2동 실버경찰대장은 “파주시 치매안심센터가 진행하는 치매선별검사를 앞으로 매년 챙겨 받아야겠다는 생각이 들었다”면서 “대원들이 건강을 잘 유지해서 지역을 위한 봉사활동에 꾸준히 참여할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
